It has 2 10A fuses.That means it will produce MAYBE 200 watts (any more will blow the fuses).So to rate it a 1400 watt amp is flat out lying.

If you want a cheap amp that actually does rated power, try Phoenix Gold, or Hifonics.They have amps in the same price range that actually put out better power, won't overheat or blow up, and is a far better value.

Bass Boost Level Control
Permits adjustment of the bass level up to an increase of approximately up to 18dB.
Crossover Mode Selector
When used with normal, full range system, set this switch to "Full". If you wish to use the internal crossover to power a driver or specific frequency range, use the "LPF" or HPF" for the "Low Pass" or "High Pass" settings.
Input Level Controls
Enables the matching of levels to the output levels from the head unit (or other original source). The input sensitivity of adjustment ranges from 6V to 200mV.
Sub Sonic Control
When the sub sonic selector switch is in "On" mode, this filter control permits continuously variable adjustment from 10 to 100Hz.
Aux Line Outs
This amp features gold plated RCA Jacks for Aux line outputs. Use these outputs for unlimited systems expansion. Power Terminals

(More customer reviews)I needed a radio to control my 2nd gen Ipod Touch and my Samsung Blackjack via bluetooth, and this radio does both and provides excellent sound quality in a sleek looking package with intuitive controls.Installing was a breeze (my previous radio was a Sony so I did not have to install the wiring harness).Ipod controls sort your music by album, artist, genre, etc. on the radio display.Not something you want to do while driving, but navigating to another song or album at a stop light is a breeze.After connecting the phone via bluetooth, answering was simple.Just push a button.I purchased the external microphoneSony XAMC10 External Mic for BT (Black) as well as the radio so I can't speak to the internal mic's quality, but with the external mic I had no ptoblems.Includes a remote with the simpler functions on it.This radio also controls my Sony disc changer I have been using since the 90's.I've always loved Sony products, and this radio just supports my choice in equipment.Great price too; Sony lists this unit for $199.Only con so far is no built-in HD radio tuner, but until that tech takes off I wouldn't worry about it.

(More customer reviews)The Sony CDXGT640UI Receiver is a good receiver with easy to use functions.I purchased this to replace another Sony receiver (same model variety) from 2006 that got stolen. The USB port works well with ipods, USB memory sticks, and other MP3 player deceives.Like most car receivers, it's easy to install by following the directions packaged with the box.

PROS:
* Easy to Install
* Looks stylish
* External USB port works very well with IPOD, usb and other MP3 devices.
* IPOD search for song, artist etc works good.
* Auxilary inputs located in the back of the unit work well.
* Easy to remove faceplate
* Easy to adjust settings
* Easy to turn off demo mode, and faceplate warning beeping

CONS:
* Text/display is difficult to read in daylight.
* Display appears dim (even on the highest setting)
* Preset Buttons are very close together which may inadvertently gets pushed
* Seek Buttons have no texture or highly visible text on it, and so may take a second to realize their function, expecially when packed next to the ZAP, search, and equalizer setting buttons.
* There is a slight learning curve to understand all the features, and setting arrangements.

The fall down face plate that conceals the CD slot is the highlight of this product for me.The dim text display is the low point and is the number one reason why I would not purchase this again, but there are no other Sony options with the same look and features all in one.

Overall, I would purchase this unit again for the look of it and if its priced under $120 (which is what I paid for it through Amazon).

(More customer reviews)The first one i ordered was apparently defective as it kept shutting off at random times while I was driving and would not turn back on until I uninstalled it, unplugged the harness and reinstalled it. I did this 3 times and finally returned it. Amazon immediately sent out a replacement and took the defective unit back. The new one is working great. Excellent replacement for the stock radio in the car. The only complaint I have, and for me it is very minor, is that to adjust audio controls and the like, you have to navigate through a menu. Its not the worst when you learn how to use it, but it can be a bit annoying especially while you are driving.

(More customer reviews)I bought this radio as an upgrade for my honda civic lx 2001 and it was just perfect. The moment i installed it i noticed the difference in sound quality and it was only the stereo powering the speakers. When i used a power amplifier it sounded even better. I have to admit this is NOT the most powerful stereo for a BIG audio system, but if you are like me that only want a quality music and very good sound inside your car, this should work perfect.

Pros: cheap, nice quality sound, RCA output for amplifier, aux and mp3-wav-wma etc support.
Cons: simple display (if the song name is long, it wont display it and it does not scroll on the screen), only one pair of RCA.

(More customer reviews)Judging from a lot of the reviews here people seemedto be expecting more.Like expecting to pay more for the same or less.I looked at several kits here and elsewhere and I went ahead and ordered this for installing a Boss Bass1200 in a Tacoma pickup (I don't need to rock the car next to me, just me and my passengers).The fuse holder alone costs as much elsewhere (I saw the exact one) as the who kit does here. I don't do this professionally.Install car audio components.I don't have a tool drawer full of 8 gauge wires and nuts and crimp-on fittings (well, some) so this kit looked like the right thing and is enough to do the job with stuff left over.I've got a few niches open in my toolbox to fill.If you're a pro, or a wannabe-pro, I'm not talking to you.If you're a new car owner or someone just trying to upgrade his/her car stereo and you need a kit like this, buy it.It's a good deal.
