(More customer reviews)The first one i ordered was apparently defective as it kept shutting off at random times while I was driving and would not turn back on until I uninstalled it, unplugged the harness and reinstalled it. I did this 3 times and finally returned it. Amazon immediately sent out a replacement and took the defective unit back. The new one is working great. Excellent replacement for the stock radio in the car. The only complaint I have, and for me it is very minor, is that to adjust audio controls and the like, you have to navigate through a menu. Its not the worst when you learn how to use it, but it can be a bit annoying especially while you are driving.

Room To Grow
The KDC-MP142 features one 2V preamp output for system expansion. It includes a rear/subwoofer switch with a subwoofer level and adjustable low pass filter, so you can send just what you need for your system.
System Q Sound Control
Five factory pre-set equalization curves (Rock, Top40, Pops, Jazz and Easy, plus a flat setting) and three speaker matching curves (OEM, 6x9, 5/4 plus a flat setting) can be combined for extreme sound-shaping flexibility. The preset curves include midrange contouring, giving music more clarity and presence. The preset curves can also be combined with the unit's bass, midrange and treble controls allowing users to personalize the sound to their particular taste.

(More customer reviews)I bought this radio as an upgrade for my honda civic lx 2001 and it was just perfect. The moment i installed it i noticed the difference in sound quality and it was only the stereo powering the speakers. When i used a power amplifier it sounded even better. I have to admit this is NOT the most powerful stereo for a BIG audio system, but if you are like me that only want a quality music and very good sound inside your car, this should work perfect.

Pros: cheap, nice quality sound, RCA output for amplifier, aux and mp3-wav-wma etc support.
Cons: simple display (if the song name is long, it wont display it and it does not scroll on the screen), only one pair of RCA.

(More customer reviews)I installed this myself (!) in my wife's 98 Rav 4; first installation for me, but with the Internet, you can do anything. The install was a snap, the radio works great, even plays our iPod using just a mini-plug cable. I thought it sounded pretty good, but my wife says it is much, much better than her factory radio that I replaced. My complaints are really minor: 1: You can't change the color of the display, and 2: If a station is weak you can change to monaural, but it changes all the stations to mono. I really recommend this radio.

(More customer reviews)after receving the radio and hooking it up ,it has ok sound,sounds better without using the eq setting,it takes away from the volume of the music playing and doesnt sound good at any setting on the eq.also its says its 350 watts. yes it might be,but not at speaker output,all naxa car stereos are 40 watts per channel nothing more.if you want good sound with a little kick get 50 watts per channel from somewhere else.my old stereo sounded better.if want alright sound then this will work.
